The game could have been vastly improved by offering a list of ways I could have better spent my time, versus the open ended question we were given.

As you have shown that this is a work in progress, I won't be too harsh. The beginning to first half is pretty nice, although maybe not interesting enough to warrant the fixed progression. After the halfway point, a synthetic horn sounding synth comes in that was very grating to me tonally, even if the notes themselves meshed okay with the rest of the instruments. I would say don't be afraid to create a slow burn type song and let the music unfold naturally, instead of thinking that something new MUST be added after a specific measure no matter what.
